3 YOUNG NIGERIAN WRITERS THAT ARE CHANGING THE PATH OF FEMINISM

1. Aminat of “This black woman”: Finally, number one on this list is this young lawyer Aminat Sanni-Kamal. While studying law in the University of Ilorin, she started her first blog which was previously called “Aminatawastories” which was around the same time she published her first book (an e-book ‘if the World was different’).
She was inspired by the success story of others which makes her want to keep working harder to achieve her dreams. She is an active feminist and organises seminars and conferences. She is a public speaker as well. ” I am a feminist, we are not the most popular people right now because of the misconceptions about feminism. But, I believe every human being should be treated equally and judged according to their capabilities and not according to their gender.” – Aminat
She believes in trying over and over again using different methods until you achieve the desired result. According to her, her best work yet is the first book she ever published “If The World Was Different”.
“It’s full of grammatical errors and it’s imperfect in every way possible but, it was when I found the courage to put my work out there for people see, it was when I finally came out of my shell.” – Aminat.
